Purpose

This website is operated by TerraLab SAS (SIREN 104 501 861, RCS Paris, France). By accessing and using this site, you agree to the following terms.

Account

To access paid services, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. One account per person. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information. One free allowance per person and per computer: creating extra accounts to get more free usage is not allowed. Free use is limited per computer and per plugin: only the first two free accounts active on a computer in the last 60 days keep free use; further free accounts get none and can still subscribe to a paid plan.

Free Plan and Paid Plans

The QGIS plugins are free software under the GNU General Public License version 2, and nothing here changes that licence. These terms govern the TerraLab AI service the plugins call: our servers, your monthly allowance, and what that service returns: imagery, polygons, and the maps, layers and answers AI Agent produces.

The free plan is granted for evaluation, personal use, teaching and academic study. It does not carry commercial use. You may not use a result produced on the free plan in work you are paid for, in a deliverable for a client or an employer, or in anything your organization sells or licenses.

A paid plan grants commercial use to one named person, the account holder. That person may use the results in their professional work with no further permission from us. The account and its activation key stay personal and may not be shared: several people need several seats, which we invoice together. Write to us for a team quote.

Results you produced while on a paid plan stay licensed for commercial use after you cancel. We do not take that back.

Acceptable Use

You may use this site and our services for lawful purposes only. You agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, reverse engineer or decompile our software or the AI models our services run, interfere with the operation of the website, or use the service for any illegal activity.

Restricted Uses and Export Control

AI Segmentation's cloud detection runs on a licensed third-party vision model. That licence binds us not to use, or permit others to use, the model for certain end uses, so the same limits apply to you when you use our service.

You agree not to use AI Segmentation's cloud detection for any activity subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or for any end use prohibited by export or import controls or by sanctions, including military or warfare purposes, nuclear industries or applications, espionage, or the development or use of guns or illegal weapons. This applies whatever your imagery shows and whoever you work for.

You confirm that you are not a target of sanctions administered or enforced by the United States, the United Nations, the European Union or the United Kingdom, and that your use of the service complies with the export and import controls that bind you.

The model's publisher states that it should not be used to make subjective judgements about objects or people. We pass that on: our detections describe what is in an image, they decide nothing about anyone.

The licence can be changed by its publisher, and a change binds our service from the moment it takes effect. If you publish research using results from our cloud detection, the licence asks you to acknowledge the model's use in your publication.

These limits cover the cloud detection our servers run, and nothing else. Semi-Auto segmentation on your own machine runs a separate, permissively licensed model and carries none of these limits. The plugin code itself is free software under the GNU General Public License version 2 and carries none of them either. Breaking this clause ends your right to use our cloud detection.

Content on this site is the property of TerraLab SAS or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws.

Imagery You Send Us

You keep every right you hold in the imagery you send. By sending imagery, prompts or reference images for processing, you confirm two things: that you own them or hold the rights needed to have them processed and stored by a service provider on your behalf, and that doing so breaks no licence you are bound by. Commercial satellite imagery is often licensed on terms that limit who may copy it and where, so read your own licence before you send that imagery. You grant TerraLab SAS a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, copy and process the imagery you send, for one purpose only: running the service for you. That covers carrying out your request, keeping your history, restoring from backup and answering your support questions. The licence lasts as long as the imagery is held on your account and ends when it is deleted. We do not sell your imagery, we do not share it with other users, and we train no model on it. If you send imagery you have no right to send, you answer for that choice and for any claim it causes.

AI Agent in your QGIS project

AI Agent is an AI system. On your instruction it reads a description of your open project, plans QGIS actions and runs them in that project: it can add, edit, style and remove layers, run Processing algorithms and code, write files and build print layouts.

What it may do without asking depends on the permission level you choose. The strictest level asks before any change. The default level asks before it deletes or overwrites anything or runs code. Autopilot, on a paid plan, acts without asking. Spending AI Edit or AI Segmentation credits asks first every time, at every level.

Its answers, plans and actions can be wrong, including when they sound certain. Check the result before you rely on it or deliver it, and keep your own backups of data that matters.

Each message that changes the project leaves a checkpoint on your computer. Restoring it reloads the project and puts back the files the agent copied before changing them. A checkpoint cannot take back what left QGIS: a file you exported or shared, a query sent to an open data service, or credits spent in another plugin.

You remain responsible for the actions you approve and for how you use the results. Our liability is limited as set out in the Disclaimer section.

Reporting a Rights Claim

If you hold rights in content stored on our service and believe it was sent to us without your permission, write to yvann.barbot@terra-lab.ai and put "rights claim" in the subject line. Tell us what the content is, why you hold the rights in it, where it sits in the service if you know, and how to reach you. We confirm receipt without delay and decide as fast as we can, normally within fifteen working days. When a claim holds up, we remove or block the content and tell the account holder, who may answer us. We keep a record of each claim and of what we did about it. This route follows Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on a single market for digital services.

Disclaimer

We strive to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for our services in the preceding 3 months.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. For business users, the courts of Paris have exclusive jurisdiction. For consumers residing in the European Union, Regulation Brussels I bis (EU No. 1215/2012) allows them to bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
